Sorry to all the 1JZ and 2JZ fan bois, but the 5.0 2UR-GSE is the best engine Toyota/Lexus has ever made (short of the unobtanium LFA V10). It's not pretty or simple, but it makes a beautiful noises and revs so smoothly. It's basically the Japanese Coyote.

Alright. 2 opinions. One, it's a brand new Lexus and the only folks who can afford it will be middle aged buyers with above average income, or rich trust fund babies. Two, Toyota should go full dodge and just put this V8 in everything. Fuck it. V8 Camry. V8 Avalon. Change the image by changing some of the most boring, well known cars in ways other than just a new skin.

Amazing car BUT it’s missing 2 things. 1 it’s the 500 it should have 500 hp 2 thing is 4.5 second to 100 kmh is not great it should do it in less than 4 second to meet today standard that’s in my own personal opinion otherwise it’s an amazing car and worth every penny Just a little faster and it will be 💯% perfect

I'll be honest I don't see how this is really an enthusiast car it seems like they took a two-door sports car slapped two more doors on it and called it sporty. No manual transmission no crazy performance numbers this is just another car targeted for the businessman that wants something sporty it's targeting the same Target as the high-end BMWs. All the luxury brands are launching "enthusiast" cars. It's a combination of standard vehicles now having luxury options and trims, and enthusiasts demands and willingness to spend money. At GM, they announced that the Camaro is ending, but then announced their Blackwing line of Cadillacs. Essentially, this replaces the $50-60K Camaro SS, with a 4 door Cadillac that runs $85K. FCA was trying to do this, essentially declaring Alfa and Maserati as their luxury brands, and going from niche performance, to high volume performance. Of course, BMW has had the reputation as both luxury and performance car, for a while; and Audi has been, trying at least, for most of the 21st. I believe you'll see the same from the likes of Lincoln, Infiniti, and Acura.
